As consumers embrace unconventionality, beverage-makers are developing new products that support that sentiment. Trends reports show that inspiration even is coming from outside the planet.

As few subjects are more emotive than personal health, functional beverages are witnessing explosive growth, as more and more consumers look to drinks that support their well-being.

A multi-billion dollar market, juice and juice drinks are a staple in American homes. However, as the products’ sugar content continue to be scrutinized beverage-makers look for ways to entice thirsty consumers.

With an array of convenience and competitive costs, consumers continue to be drawn to the eCommerce channel. 

This year, electric technology dominates the 2023 new truck releases. But there’s also quite a bit of innovation happening in more traditionally fueled vehicles like diesel- and gasoline-powered trucks. Natural gas also makes a bit of a comeback this year with some new engine announcements.

In the name of sustainability beverage manufacturers are taking a proactive approach with packaging innovations. SupplySide West and Food ingredients North America (FiNA), produced by Informa Markets, celebrated its 25th anniversary. More than 1,100 exhibitors and 15,850 registered attendees gathered Oct. 31-Nov. 4 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas to focus on what’s next in the industry.

Back after four years, PACK EXPO International convened more than 44,000 attendees, surpassing the 2018 event. With 2,200 exhibitors and more than 1.2 million net square feet at McCormick Place in Chicago, PACK EXPO International took place Oct. 23-26, showcasing the latest innovations and trends impacting the packaging and processing markets.

The beverage market is going through a metamorphosis as brand owners are entering new categories and are turning to contract manufacturers to support these new endeavors.
