Primo Water Corp., Tampa, Fla., announced that Primo Water North America (PWNA), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Primo, has acquired Highland Mountain Water, Atlanta. Highland Mountain Water is a leading independent distributor of Primo's Mountain Valley premium water brand.

New York-based Diageo North America and The Vita Coco Co., New York, announced their collaboration to launch a line of premium canned cocktails. Called Vita Coco Spiked with Captain Morgan, the spirits-based line will be available in three offerings – Piña Colada, Strawberry Daiquiri and Lime Mojito – all starting with a balanced blend of Captain Morgan Caribbean white rum and Vita Coco’s refreshing coconut water.

COOP Ale Works, Oklahoma City, Okla., announced its SONIC Hard Southern Sweet Tea and SONIC Hard Slush is set to launch in retail stores this September. Following the success of the fan favorite SONIC Hard Seltzer lineup, SONIC Hard Southern Sweet Tea and SONIC Hard Slush will be available for consumers at select retail stores in at least 38 states, it says.

Toronto, Canada-based BioSteel Sports Nutrition Inc. announced the appointment of Bruce Jacobson as President of BioSteel, who, together with Co-Founders John Celenza and Michael Cammalleri, will be responsible for accelerating the growth of BioSteel into a top-4 sports hydration company. Jacobson joins BioSteel with a wealth of experience from the beverage industry, the company notes. 

Plant-based beverage brand, Califia Farms, Los Angeles, announced its new product launch formulated for cold coffee beverages: Iced Café Mixers. Available in Vanilla Sweet Crème and Caramel Crème, Iced Café Mixers represent a major innovation breakthrough for the creamer category, which, until now, has developed products exclusively for hot coffee, the company says.

Cambridge, Mass.-based Ohza, a fast growing ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail company, announced that musician and actor Joe Jonas has joined the brand as an investor, and partnered to launch his own product line: Fizzy Sangria. Available across the country in retail and online at drinkohza.com, Fizzy Sangria is the company's first product line extension, it says.

Sapporo U.S.A. and Stone Brewing, San Diego, have reached an agreement for Sapporo U.S.A. to acquire Stone Brewing. Supporting both business’ long-term growth strategies in the U.S. market, the transaction is expected to close in August. Stone is the second acquisition in the growing craft brew segment of Sapporo U.S.A.’s business, which acquired Anchor Brewing Co. in 2017. Anchor Brewing operations will remain unchanged. 

After 25 years of creating signature craft soda flavors and featuring fan-submitted photo labels on every bottle, Seattle-based Jones Soda Co. entered a new category with the Mary Jones brand of cannabis-infused sodas. Mary Jones 10 mg Cannabis-Infused Sodas are available in Jones’ fan-favorite varietals of Root Beer, Berry Lemonade, Green Apple, and Orange & Cream.
