Alex Cooper's Unwell Hydration enters new era with Unwell Energy
Energy drink designed to deliver taste and function

Alex Cooper, entrepreneur and host of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, launched Unwell Beverages last year with a line of hydration beverages. Since then, Unwell Beverages has branched into the protein space with the release of Unwell Protein and electrolyte mix packs.
Now, Unwell Hydration is entering a new era with Unwell Energy. The new energy drink was created to deliver both taste and function, the brand says, and it reflects the brand’s expanded portfolio of better-for-you (BFY) beverages.
“Wellness culture constantly tells us to be perfect, but Unwell Beverages was created to meet women exactly where they are,” Cooper said in a statement. “Whether they’re thirsty, hungry or exhausted, Unwell Beverages allows us to support our community with great-tasting, better-for-you versions of their favorite drinks.”
Unwell Energy is launching in four flavors: Cherry Lime, Passion Fruit Orange Guava, Watermelon and Pineapple Coconut. Each beverage delivers 150 mg of natural caffeine from green coffee extract, 745 mg of electrolytes and six essential B vitamins, including biotin for hair and skin support. Unwell Energy is made with real fruit juice and no artificial sweeteners, with just 3 grams of sugar and stevia.
The new energy beverage is launching in Target stores nationwide and on Target.com on Dec. 28.
To celebrate this milestone, the brand unveiled a new campaign titled Unwell Forever. The campaign spotlights Unwell Beverages’ mission to empower consumers with energy, protein and electrolytes needed to take on the world — unfiltered and unapologetic, it says. Unwell Forever will span across six months and release on @drinkunwell’s Instagram and TikTok accounts.
