Glanbia Nutritionals announces the release of a new whey protein: BevEdge Whey Protein A-220W. The pre-acidified whey protein isolate easily can be dispersed and features excellent clarity and taste, the company says. A newcomer to Glanbia’s line of proteins, BevEdge Whey Protein A-220W is lecithinfree, contains no soy, and can be simply labeled. With a pH below 3.5, the protein powder delivers fruit flavors with a clear end product that can be mixed with a spoon or shaker, the company says. Additionally, the ingredient creates new opportunities in the sports and lifestyles’ markets for citrus and berry-flavored powdered drink mixes. Among the benefits BevEdge offers are a large, uniform particle size that reduces powder residue, dusting and clumping, improved flow for easier blending and canister delivery, and no costly slowdowns for readyto- mix beverage applications, the company says.
