With Oct. 19 being the final presidential debate of this election cycle, many might be looking forward to the closing of this election. However, the readers of Beverage Industry still remain active when voting for their favorite new products.

In the Readers’ Choice of the Month poll for September, CytoSport’s Muscle Milk Coffee House beverages won with 30 percent of the vote. The ready-to-drink (RTD) protein shakes contain 20 grams of protein and 120 mg of caffeine in each 11-ounce carton. The line is available in three coffee-inspired flavors: Vanilla Latte, Café Latte and Mocha Latte.

The RTD protein drinks edge out the No. 2 beverage in the poll: KRā, a line of USDA-certified organic sports drinks. Available in four varieties — Berry, Fruit Punch, Lemon and Orange — KRā obtained 27 percent of the vote.

Rounding out the Top 5 were Blue Nectar’s Añejo Founder’s Blend (10 percent), Splash Mini Bar’s Premium Mixers (8 percent) and Zamaca (5 percent), a maca liqueur.
