Sapporo U.S.A. and Stone Brewing, San Diego, have reached an agreement for Sapporo U.S.A. to acquire Stone Brewing. Supporting both business’ long-term growth strategies in the U.S. market, the transaction is expected to close in August. Stone is the second acquisition in the growing craft brew segment of Sapporo U.S.A.’s business, which acquired Anchor Brewing Co. in 2017. Anchor Brewing operations will remain unchanged. 

After 25 years of creating signature craft soda flavors and featuring fan-submitted photo labels on every bottle, Seattle-based Jones Soda Co. entered a new category with the Mary Jones brand of cannabis-infused sodas. Mary Jones 10 mg Cannabis-Infused Sodas are available in Jones’ fan-favorite varietals of Root Beer, Berry Lemonade, Green Apple, and Orange & Cream.

Bev, Los Angeles, announced the launch of its Serving Pride campaign in benefit of wayOUT, a non-profit organization seeking to empower LGBTQ+ people to feel safe being who they really are. The campaign, which includes new product innovation, out-of-home advertising, a social campaign and Los Angeles-based activations, kicked off with the launch of limited-edition Bev Pride, a white wine spritz, with 10% of the proceeds to be donated to wayOUT, the company says.

Paddy Spence will still hold his position as Chair of the Company’s Board of Directors. Amy Taylor, president, will succeed Spence as CEO beginning Aug. 1.

Corona, Calif.-based Monster Energy Corp. announced the launch of its newest Monster Energy Java innovation: Cold Brew. Infused with nitrous oxide to give a rich and creamy mouthfeel, Java Monster Cold Brew is available in two bold new flavors: Latte and Sweet Black, it adds.

Newport Beach, Calif.-based SYSTM Foods, an impact-focused food and beverage brand platform, announced the acquisition of Chameleon Organic Coffee from Nestlé USA Inc. Chameleon is a leading provider of organic, sustainably grown and ethically sourced coffee and joins the SYSTM Foods portfolio of brands, including plant-powered functional beverage brand, REBBL.

Brown-Forman Corp., Louisville, Ky., and Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co. announced a global relationship to debut the iconic Jack & Coke cocktail as a branded, ready-to-drink (RTD) pre-mixed cocktail option. Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola RTD, inspired by the classic bar cocktail, will be made with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and Coca-Cola. The beverage will be available in markets around the world, with initial launch planned for Mexico in late 2022.

Long Island City, N.Y.-based Hella Cocktail Co., a brand of botanically inspired mixers and cocktails, announced a $5 million investment from a fellow BIPOC-owned company, Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey, Shelbyville, Tenn.
