RTD coffee posts strongest single-year gains among beverage segments

The U.S. liquid refreshment beverage market grew again in 2017, with retail sales increasing about 3 percent and volume by around 2 percent, according to newly released preliminary data from Beverage Marketing Corporation (BMC), New York.
Los Angeles-based company, Kickback Cold Brew, announced the launch of a new flavor of its Cannabidiol (CBD) infused cold brew tea and coffee beverages.
Birmingham, Ala.-based Royal Cup Coffee & Tea (Royal Cup), an importer, roaster and distributor of premium and specialty coffees and teas, announced the April 2 launch of a new line of shelf-stable, ready-to-drink cold-brew coffees. This will be the company’s first liquid product introduction following its acquisition of Icebox Coffee.
