National Honesty Index rates Honolulu, Washington, D.C., most honest cities

Honest Tea, a Bethesda, Md.-based independent operating unit of The Coca-Cola Co., conducted The 2014 National Honesty Index and found that, when faced with a choice to be honest or not, 95 percent of Americans were honest, up from 92 percent in 2013.
Keurig employees welcome Vermonters to join in first Community Cleanup Day on Winooski River

Keurig Green Mountain Inc. employees who are based in Vermont are participating in a week-long cleanup of the Winooski River in the company’s home state of Vermont to remove trash and debris from the waterway. As part of the 10th anniversary of this cleanup campaign, the Waterbury, Vt.-based company, in partnership with American Rivers, Friends of the Winooski and Friends of the Waterbury Reservoir, will host Aug. 9 the first Community Cleanup Day in the Winooski River Watershed for all Vermont residents.

Conversely, non-gourmet coffee drinking dropped 4 percentage points to 35 percent, it reports.

For instance, the tea category has experienced sales increases due to consumer emphasis placed on healthy living habits, according to a January report from Santa Monica, Calif.-based IBISWorld titled “Tea Production in the US.”
