As consumer trends continue to impact the coffee market, experts note that the overall category is shifting gears to meet consumers’ changing preferences.

JDE Peet’s announced its intention to launch a new paper pack for its soluble coffee ranges. This new paper pack solution will be recyclable. It is designed to create a more sustainable ecosystem in the soluble coffee market by incentivizing the reuse of existing glass jars and tin formats, it says.

Richardson, Texas-based NuZee Inc., a leading coffee co-packing and technology company, announced entering into a five-year global licensing agreement with Stone Brewing, Escondido, Calif. Under the exclusive agreement, NuZee intends to co-manufacture and distribute Stone Brewing specialty coffee products nationwide through a vast network of natural grocery, traditional grocery, and convenience store channels, as well as office coffee and hotel brokers and distributors.
