Rockstar Energy Drink, a brand of Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo, is creating a new kind of energy drink with the launch of Rockstar Unplugged. Rockstar Unplugged focuses less on providing a big hit of energy and more focus on enhancing good vibes with ingredients like hemp seed oil and B vitamins, the company says.
Cann-Ade, a cannabis-infused beverage company, launched its hemp-derived water that is flavored and colored only with organic fruit juice, the company notes.

Truss CBD USA, a joint venture by Molson Coors Beverage Co., Chicago, and HEXO USA Inc., a subsidiary of Canada-based HEXO Corp., announced the expansion of Veryvell, a line of hemp-derived CBD and adaptogen beverages.
The Clean Beverage Co., a division of Alkaline Water Co., announced the launch of its brand new line of six natural A88CBD functional waters: Reenergize, Berry Black; Refresh, Lemon Lime; Relax, Peach Mango; Rest, Strawberry Kiwi; Relief, Grapefruit Ginger; and Resistance, Orange Tangerine.
Despite no legalization at the federal level, CBD ingredients in beverages are hitting the market fast. CBD sales in the United States grew 20% in 2020, but is a slowdown from 2019, states Euromonitor International.

Boulder, Colo.-based BDSA announced an update of its cannabis market forecast, a five-year rolling global forecast by country, state, province, channel and category. Cannabis sales for 2021 will near $31 billion, an increase of 41% more than 2020 sales. Further, BDSA forecasts global cannabis sales to grow from $30.6 billion in 2021 to $62.1 billion in 2026, a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of more than 15%.
