Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co.’s Inca Kola brand and its Clifton, N.J.-based bottler Continental Food and Beverage Inc. (CF&B) announced the launch of a charity promotion to raise funds for Easter Seals New York’s Veterans Count program. The program will bring together the resources of Inca Kola, Orange Country Choppers (OCC), Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) and AXS TV.

Donald Keough, a longtime executive of The Coca-Cola Co., Atlanta, died Tuesday, Feb. 24 at age 88. Keough served as the company’s president from 1981 to 1993. After his tenure as president, Keough returned to the company in 2004 as a director and served on its advisory board through 2014.
Starting in 1994, Disney character Fud Wrapper from the EPCOT attraction Food Rocks taught consumers about nutrition by reminding them to “always eat with moderation,” when choosing healthy foods versus sweet snacks.
Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co. released its fourth quarter and full-year 2014 results. It reported that global sparkling beverage volume grew 1 percent in both the quarter and full year driven by growth from the Coca-Cola, Sprite and Fanta brands. Coca-Cola brand volume was up 1 percent in the quarter and grew slightly for the full year, rounding to even.
According to Beverage Industry’s Best Packages of 2014 survey, portion-controlled sizes, specialty inks and a “personal” touch can give brands a leg up in the competitive beverage marketplace.
Bottler will add Cleveland and Cookeville, Tenn., to territories

Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated, Charlotte, N.C., announced it has signed a definitive agreement with an affiliate of Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co. to expand the bottler’s franchise territory to include the Cleveland and Cookeville, Tenn., territories, which currently are served by Coca-Cola Refreshments USA Inc. (CCR), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Co.
Great Lakes to dedicate sales, distribution activities to Coca-Cola brands

Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co. signed a definitive agreement with Great Lakes Coca-Cola Distribution LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Reyes Holdings LLC, Rosemont, Ill. This agreement follows a letter of intent announced in February with Reyes Holdings LLC for the granting of territories in the greater Chicago area. The Coca-Cola Co. anticipates closing the transaction in 2015, but financial terms were not disclosed.

A brand of Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co., Coca-Cola Life is the company’s first reduced-calorie carbonated soft drink sweetened with cane sugar and stevia leaf extract.
Sprite, a brand of Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co., launched a new video meant to inspire viewers and capture LeBron James’ return to his hometown of Akron, Ohio, from a new perspective. Directed by Jason Rosenberg of the Bandito Brothers, the video titled "The First Home Game," features James' on-the-court highlight footage as local fans share their anticipation for his first home-court appearance of the season. The video also features Imagine Dragons’ new single "I Bet My Life" as the background track.
