PATRÓN, a brand of Bacardi Ltd., announced the release of its latest aged expression: PATRÓN Sherry Cask Aged Añejo. Conceived within the walls of the Hacienda PATRÓN distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, the limited-edition tequila is inspired by sherry, a fortified, aged, and blended wine made only in the Andalucia region in Southern Spain, also known as "the Sherry triangle," the company says. PATRÓN Sherry Cask Aged Añejo has notes of fig preserves, stone fruit compote, caramel toasted walnuts, coconut and fermented pineapple with spices and piloncillo, the company adds. Each 750-ml bottle has a 40% ABV, and is available until supplies last and sold exclusively in the United States on drizly.com and at retailers for a suggested retail price of $79.99.
