Beverage Industry reveals readers’ favorite new product of 2014

ZMix garners 40 percent of online poll votes

The readers of Beverage Industry see a future for liquid concentrates in the alcohol market. In the magazine’s Readers’ Choice New Product of the Year poll for 2014, Seismix LLC’s ZMix instant cocktail mixes captured the title of Favorite New Product of 2014 by garnering 40 percent of votes.

Available in Lemon Drop, Purple Hooter and Cosmo varieties, the liquid concentrates are sweetened with sucralose and acesulfame potassium, resulting in a zero-calorie mixer.

“Winning Beverage Industry’s ‘Favorite New Product of 2014’ award is a tremendous honor and privilege,” says Tom Namey, director of marketing for brand. “ZMix is a revolutionary new product for the alcohol mixer category. At just 1.6 ounces — and with zero calories — no other cocktail mixer makes so many drinks so easily, at such a favorable price point. ZMix is preparing for expansion into new markets beyond the Southeast, so the timing of this award could not have been more perfect. We greatly appreciate the support.”

Also drawing strong support from readers was the Level 5 Beverage Co.’s VitaminFizzwith 26 percent of the vote.

Rounding out the Top 5 are High Brew Coffeeat 11 percent, Bai Bubbleswith 8 percent and Focus+with 7 percent of the vote.
