Since the start of the FIFA World Cup on June 12, soccer (or football) has taken the world by storm. Just this week at IFT in New Orleans, tradeshow attendees gathered around exhibitor booths with TVs to catch the action. In some moments, you almost forgot you were at a tradeshow when the fan crowd roared and cheered.

Fans are taking these soccer games very seriously and tuning in wherever they are — whether that be at home, at work or on-premise. According to Offerpop, 3.6 billion people worldwide are expected to tune in for the 60 World Cup matches over 32 days. To put that into perspective, that number represents about half of the world’s population.

To help your patrons get in on the action of this weekend’s Brazil vs. Chile and the Netherlands vs. Mexico games, Ketel One Vodka developed some World Cup-themed cocktail recipes featuring its vodka. Fans can use this opportunity to show their team spirit by ordering the cocktail that represents their favorite international team.

Brazil

Cocktail: Ketel One Oranje Caipiroska

Ingredients:
1.5 ounces of Ketel One Oranje
0.75 ounces of fresh lime juice
0.25 ounces of simple syrup
3 lime wedges
2 orange slices
Lemon-lime soda

Directions: Muddle two lime wedges and two orange slices in the bottom of a rocks glass. Fill with ice and add remaining ingredients. Top with lemon-lime soda. Stir. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Chile

Cocktail: Ketel One Terremoto

Ingredients:
1.5 ounces of Ketel One Citroen
Pineapple ice cream
Pipeño (fermented white wine)

Directions: Add some pineapple ice cream to a 1-liter glass. Pour in the Ketel One Citroen and then fill the remainder of the glass with pipeño.

The Netherlands

Cocktail: Ketel One Clockwork Oranje

Ingredients:
1.5 ounces of Ketel One Oranje
0.75 ounces of fresh lemon juice
1 ounce of white crème de cacao

Directions: Add all ingredients to a Collins glass. Fill the glass with crushed ice. Use a swizzle stick to stir and blend ingredients. Garnish with an orange wedge.

Mexico

Cocktail: Ketel One Mexican Mule

Ingredients:
1.5 ounces of Ketel One Vodka
0.5 ounces of orange liqueur
0.5 ounces of fresh lime juice
0.5 ounces of ginger liqueur
3 ounces of ginger beer
5 cilantro leaves
1 jalapeño slice (seedless)

Directions: Muddle cilantro and jalapeño in the bottom of a mixing glass. Add Ketel One Vodka, orange liqueur, ginger liqueur and lime juice and shake with ice. Strain into a copper mug or highball glass filled with ice. Top with ginger beer. Garnish with cilantro leaves and a slice of jalapeño.
