Corona Extra, a brand of Constellation Brands, Victor, N.Y., is bringing Feliz Navidad festivities directly to consumers in augmented reality with its O’Tannenpalm’s Tree Lot. The immersive and interactive experience transports fans into a Corona-themed winter wonderland full of surprising interactive experiences, helping infuse their homes with “La Vida Más Fina” all season long, it says.
Corona Extra unveiled limited-edition bottles featuring Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) fighters prior to the “PBC on Showtime Championship Boxing” world title fight, which took place July 30 in Brooklyn, N.Y. The specially wrapped, collectible bottles are available in Corona Extra 18-packs nationwide through Oct. 31.
It seems as though U.S. consumers are having a love affair with import beer, based on analysis in this year's beer market report. According to Chicago-based Information Resources Inc. (IRI), dollar sales for import beer were $5.4 billion — an 11.7 percent increase — for the 52 weeks ending Dec. 27, 2015, in U.S. supermarkets, drug stores, mass merchandisers, gas and convenience stores, military commissaries, and select club and dollar retail chains. Case sale gains were just shy of 10 percent during that time period.

Constellation Brands Inc., Victor, N.Y., reported net sales for the 2014 fiscal year were more than $4.8 billion, a 74 percent increase, following its acquisition of the Grupo Modelo U.S. beer business.
Crown Imports LLC, a Chicago-based division of Constellation Brands, announced that its Corona Light brand will expand on draft in more than 35 U.S. markets, and its Corona Extra brand will make its debut on draft in three test markets.
