Red Bull North America Inc., Santa Monica, Calif., announced a limited-edition Red Bull Kris Bryant can is hitting shelves across Chicagoland and parts of the Midwest, just in time for the start of the 2018 MLB season. This will be the first packaging collaboration with the Chicago Cubs third baseman, who was the National League’s 2016 Most Valuable Player.

Celsius Holdings Inc., Boca Raton, Fla., makers of the global fitness drink CELSIUS, announced that it is adding two new flavors, Apple Jack'd and Orangesicle, to its trainer-grade CELSIUS HEAT line. This brings the CELSIUS HEAT product line to seven flavors. The thermogenic pre-workout drink packaged in 16-ounce cans is carbonated and packed with 2,000mg of L-citrulline and 300mg of caffeine.
During the past decade or so, the energy drinks and shots category has experienced solid growth. In 2016, wholesale dollar sales for energy drinks grew 7.3 percent to $7.8 billion, according to Roger Dilworth, senior editor at

Bungie and Activision Publishing Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard Inc., announced it has partnered with Rockstar Energy Drink and Pop-Tarts toaster pastries for “Destiny 2.” The partnership leads up to the Sept. 6 launch of “Destiny 2” on PlayStation4 and Xbox One (PlayStationPlus or Xbox Live Gold subscription, respectively, required for significant features), the company says.
