Xi’an, China-based SkyPeople Fruit Juice Inc. announced that the Board of Directors approved Future World Trading (Hong Kong) Ltd.’s, a wholly owned subsidiary of SkyPeople, acquisition of Shaanxi Quangoutong E-commerce Inc., an eCommerce company and wholly owned subsidiary of SkyPeople International Holdings Group Ltd., which is the major shareholder of SkyPeople Fruit Juice Inc. The relevant agreement was signed March 16.

The 37th annual Natural Products Expo West & Engredea hosted more than 80,000 attendees. The show, produced by New Hope Network, took place March 9-13 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif., and brought together 3,100 exhibiting companies, including more than 500 first-time exhibitors.
Although ginger is a perennial that produces narrow green leaves and yellow flowers, the plant has gained more recognition for its root. The ingredient found favor as a spice, however, its association with medicinal characteristics has helped proliferate its usage, according to experts.
