This year marked the 25th annual NACS Show, which took place Oct. 17-20 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Capping off a record-breaking event in the Pack Expo portfolio of Trade Shows, Pack Expo Las Vegas and Healthcare Packaging Expo 2017 welcomed nearly 1,000 more attendees than 2015, making it the largest Pack Expo Las Vegas in history.

With the theme of “Where science and strategy intersect,” SupplySide West 2017 brought together more than 15,000 ingredient suppliers and buyers Sept. 25-29 at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Craft Beverage Expo (CBExpo), the conference for independent producers, announced that industry and marketing experts Christian McMahan and Tom Flanagan will lead the event’s keynote sessions. The CBExpo will take Nov. 7-9 in Portland, Ore.

The 2017 installment of Pack Expo Las Vegas and Healthcare Packaging Expo, which is taking place Sept. 25-27 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, is positioned to surpass its 2015 numbers, according to PMMI, the producer of Pack Expo.

The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), Chicago, saw more than 20,000 attendees attend IFT17, the association’s Annual Conference & Expo, which took place June 25-28 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. This year’s theme, Go With Purpose, highlighted the latest research, solutions, innovations and trends, including clean labels, sweeteners and sugar-reduction solutions, as well as plant-based alternatives. In addition to various speakers, more than 100 scientific sessions and 700 poster presentations, the expo featured more than 1,200 exhibitors. About 44 percent of the visitors to the last drinktec came from the brewing industry, according to the tradeshow presenter. Between Sept. 11 and 15, those involved in the production of beer can come together for drinktec 2017 at the Messe München exhibition center where they will find all they need to produce excellent beer.
