(IRI), Chicago, and SPINS, Schaumburg, Ill., created SPINS NaturaLink, a new segmentation of the total U.S. population that focuses on how shoppers think about, purchase and use natural, organic and eco-friendly products. Consumers increasingly are embracing natural and organic products and often are as concerned about what is not in the products they buy as much as what is in them, IRI notes. SPINS NaturaLink is designed to assist consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturers and retailers in generating new levels of growth through a better understanding of these shopper needs.

Consumers’ interest in the health and wellness benefits of natural and organic food products has translated into the creation of beverages to meet these market needs.
The Made drinks brand unveiled a new look this summer for its organic green teas and lemonades, including its two newest varieties: Honey Green Tea with Ginseng and Mango Lemonade.
Dallas-based Koa Organic Beverages launched a Kickstarter campaign July 23 that will run for 28 days. This fundraising initiative is designed to help produce Koa Organic Water locally in towns all across America using seasonal and sustainable vegetation.
After the show’s close, New Hope Natural Media, the host of the show and a division of Penton, reported a record number of new natural and organic product launches, as well as record exhibitor and attendee numbers.
