When a group of Seattle-based Starbucks Coffee Co. employees teamed up to create a fall espresso beverage 14 years ago, little did they realize that they would be launching a nationwide trend that would extend far beyond coffee.

Starbucks Corp., Seattle, reported financial results for its 13-week fiscal third quarter and 39-week fiscal year to date ended July 2. Fiscal 2017 and fiscal 2016 GAAP results include items which are excluded from non-GAAP results.

Atlanta-based McAlister’s Deli added a new offering to its beverage menu just in time for the hottest month of the year. Combining two made-with pure cane sugar beverage favorites, Lemonade Tea is a blend of freshly brewed McAlister's Famous Tea and Lemonade, the company says.

With the start of spring, Seattle-based Starbucks Coffee Co. announced new Teavana tea beverages: Teavana Shaken Iced White Tea and Teavana Lightly Sweet Chai Tea Latte. The teas, along with the regional roll-out of ready-to-drink (RTD) Teavana Craft Iced Teas, will be available at Starbucks stores in the Northeast United States, the company says.

For the fifth year in a row, Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees & Smoothies, a franchise specializing in Hawaiian coffees and fruit smoothies, is offering its small smoothie for $2.14 on Feb. 14, to commemorate Valentine’s Day. Sweethearts can enjoy this deal at participating Maui Wowi retail locations across the country, the company says.
