Spirits-based canned cocktail brand Cutwater launched a campaign that celebrates the essence of Halloween, while also turning canned cocktail skeptics into believers. From now until Sept. 24, consumers aged 21 and older can enter the “Real Spirits Inside” sweepstakes for the chance to win an overnight stay for two at Cleveland’s Franklin Castle, one of America’s most famous haunted homes, it says.

The castle was built in 1881 and is “steeped in chilling legends of ghostly cries, shadowy figures, hidden passageways and more,” the brand shares. Upon arrival, winners will receive ghost-hunting gear to use throughout the evening, exclusive Cutwater swag and more. After settling into their pre-assigned rooms inside Franklin Castle, guests will gather to choose delicious cocktails and discover chilling encounters.

“We are excited to bring the ‘Real Spirits Inside’ campaign to life with this festive, two-pronged approach,” said Jakki Kay, senior director of marketing for Cutwater, in a statement. “With this activation, we are hoping to educate 21-plus drinkers that you can find real, award-winning spirits inside every Cutwater cocktail. Whether you’re planning to garnish over ice for a Halloween party or just cracking open a can while looking for ghosts, Cutwater makes it easy to raise a glass to real quality you can taste.”

The winner of the spooky sweepstakes will receive the following:

  • A haunted tour with Franklin Castle historian William G. Krejci.
  • An optional cocktail tasting experience with Nikk Alcaraz.
  • An optional cocktail-paired sensory dinner.
  • A late-night ghost investigation led by Steve Gonsalves with provided paranormal hunting tools, including EVP readers.

The spirited campaign and sweepstakes are designed to engaged consumers 21 and older and raise awareness about the premium quality of Cutwater’s cocktails, it states. After all, haunted houses aren’t the only Halloween staple filled with real spirits, the brand adds. Each Cutwater cocktail is crafted from award-winning spirits, delivering consistent quality in drink. The sweepstakes offers consumers 21 and older the chance to go from doubters to believers, underscoring Cutwater’s commitment to transparency, quality and consistency, proving that when it comes to canned cocktails, the spirits are real, it adds.

The sweepstakes now is open through Sept. 24. Consumers can enter via Instagram, Facebook, X or an online form. Winners will receive travel accommodation and a once-of-a-kind experience at Franklin Castle.
