Natural Light Seltzer hits the hard seltzer market
New brew available in fruit-flavor blends
Natural Light, a brand of St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch, announced the launch of Natural Light Seltzer, a flavor-forward, 6 percent alcohol-by-volume beverage that is available in two blends of fruit flavors: Aloha Beaches and Catalina Lime Mixer.
Aloha Beaches combines mango and peach for a tropical feel, while Catalina Lime Mixer features black cherry and lime. Natural Light Seltzer is available in 12-packs, 24-packs, and a 25-ounce single serve can.
"The seltzer category is booming,” said Ricardo Marques, vice president of core and value brands at Anheuser-Busch, in a statement. “It's part of a larger shift in consumption across America and we believe it has tremendous staying power. We know plenty of Natty Light drinkers are also trying seltzer, so we want to meet that demand by bringing the fun of Natty into that space with an affordable price offering that fits their lifestyle."
Hot off the heels of Naturdays, Anheuser-Busch is continuing to anticipate consumer trends with a new take on what a hard seltzer can be. To coincide with the new hard seltzer release, the brand is running a marketing program asking consumers social media channels why their party needs more flavor and it just might deliver cases of Natural Light Seltzer right to your doorstep, the company says. Consumers 21 and older can use the hashtags #NattySeltzer and #Sweepstakes on Twitter for a chance to win. One hundred winners will win 10 cases (cash equivalent in certain states) of Natural Light Seltzer to bring to their fall parties, the company says.
