Expanding its spirits portfolio, Stillhouse Spirits Co. introduced Stillhouse Black Bourbon. The brand’s first bourbon, the spirit is a blend of corn, rye, barley and limestone water, distilled and barreled in charred new American oak barrels before being charcoal filtered. The product is then rested and mellowed in roasted small-batch coffee beans, the company says. The combination of the coffee beans and the charred barrels results in aromatic notes of caramel and coffee, with a balanced body and smooth finish, it adds. At 40 percent alcohol by volume, Stillhouse Black Bourbon is packaged in the company’s signature stainless steel, 750-ml can, which has a suggested retail price of $29.95 in select markets and online. The bourbon also will be available packaged in 375-ml “Roadie” pocket-sized flask, which has a suggested retail price of $19.95.
