Lawrenceville, N.J.-based iTi Tropicals Inc. launched a new website, ititropicals.com. Created to provide an enhanced user experience, information resource and service offering, the website features a fresh graphic design, improved navigation and functionality, and a cutting-edge corporate video, the company says. The primary objectives were to offer the user optimal ease-of-navigation and visual appeal, it adds.

Kerry Group plc, Tralee, Ireland, acquired Wellmune from Eagan, Minn.-based Biothera Inc. A natural food, beverage and supplement ingredient, Wellmune is clinically proven to help strengthen the immune system, the company says.

PureCircle, Oak Brook, Ill., announced it will receive a U.S. Patent Application pertaining to the use of rebaudioside M (Reb M) in beverage applications. Consistent with PureCircle’s global business strategy, the company, in alignment with its global partner and co-owner of the patent, has further sought international protection of this intellectual property.

Momence, Ill.-based FutureCeuticals Inc. announced the successful Non-GMO Project Certification and Verification of FruiteX-B Brand calcium fructoborate. The core requirements for this verification are traceability, segregation and testing of ingredients at critical control points, the company says.

Long Beach, Calif.-based BI Nutraceuticals is expanding its manufacturing operations including milling, sieving, blending and Protexx HP Green Steam sterilization, as well as its quality assurance labs in McCarran, Nevada, just outside of Reno. The company’s marketing, accounting and customer service departments will relocate to Rancho Dominguez, Calif., 1 mile from the current Long Beach facility. BI’s facilities in Islandia, N.Y., and Boonton, N.J., will maintain normal operations.

Bell Flavors and Fragrance, Northbrook, Ill., recently hired Tim Cunningham and Jennifer O’Shea. Cunningham was appointed vice president of manufacturing for Bell’s Middletown, N.Y. site, while O’Shea was appointed purchasing manager at the same location.

Allen Flavors, South Plainfield, N.J., welcomed Joe Harriman as vice president of sales and marketing. Harriman has a long history in the flavor industry, previously serving as director of sales at Firmenich as well as experience at Danisco, Givaudan and IFF, the company says.
