Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co., a collaboration between Underdog Wine & Spirits and Grammy Award-winning band Train, launched Calling All Angels Chardonnay. The new varietal is named after Train's chart-topping single “Calling All Angels” and embodies the story behind the music. Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co. vintner Adam Richardson interpreted Train's song as a fruit-forward, medium-bodied Chardonnay. "The song is uplifting and fulfilling, as is Calling All Angels Chardonnay with its soft tannins and long finish," he says. Train guitarist Jimmy Stafford agrees, noting: "This blend has a fantastic citrus scent, a hint of pineapple that is refreshing to enjoy both with dinner or drinks with friends." A 750-ml. bottle retails for approximately $9.99. A portion of the proceeds from Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co. sales are in support of Family House, a non-profit organization providing temporary housing to families of seriously ill children.
