Alcohol delivery startup taps into direct-to-consumer market

Newly combined technology providers, Encompass Technologies + Orchestra Software announced that they have acquired Denver-based alcohol delivery startup Handoff. This acquisition furthers the company’s mission to digitally connect all tiers of the beverage industry, from first ingredients to last sip.
Encompass Technologies and Orchestra Software announced they will combine to become one company. Each company has played a major role in building the foundation for the beverage industry and serving as the system of record and operations in their respective markets (production and distribution).
It is important in the existing working environment, from production to distribution, to focus on how measurement methods are calculated and used to determine true productivity.
Recently, a robust research effort was initiated to answer questions posed at a technical conference: “what does going digital mean?” and “what do you mean by digital?” The variety of answers received was interesting because they demonstrated different interpretations of the questions, as well as a real understanding of the term “digital.”
