enVista launches virtual resource to help beverage distributors

Digital technology and software promote operational efficiencies

May 11, 2020

To address warehouse inefficiencies and help clients quickly manage peaks in operations, enVista Corp. has launched Virtual Operational Assessments. During a time of uncertainty and economic contraction, cost-cutting and cost-avoidance will be vital strategies that companies must consider in order to manage the business, the company says. The virtual resource identifies areas within a company’s four walls and enables them to remotely optimize processes and drive efficiencies. This is facilitated through the use of GoPros and iPads, which are virtually walked through a specific operation. At the other end, enVista Lean Six Sigma certified consultants will diagnose the assessments, perform remote design sessions, and discuss recommendations to improve processes and reduce/eliminate waste, the company says. Because many enVista customers are providing vital goods (like CPG companies and food and beverage distributors), the operational assessment will promote efficiencies and reduce labor dependencies. The supply chain consulting services and strategies are comprised of labor management system (LMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS) and more. Several software partners of enVista include Blue Yonder, Korber Supply Chain Software, MercuryGate, and enVista’s own proprietary labor management tool, enCompass.
