New line of CSDs features traditional soda flavors

Bai Brands, Princeton, N.J., announced the introduction of Bai Black, a line of carbonated beverages with traditional soda flavors. Available nationwide in January 2017, the Bai Black lineup will feature five flavors: Kohala Kola, Simbu Citrus, Rioja Root Beer, Jambi Ginger Ale and Colombia Cream.
During a first-time visit to St. Louis in late August, my family and I had the opportunity to sample many beverages. We tried Bitt’s Cold Press, a cold-brew coffee that is brewed and bottled at St. Louis-based Arthouse Coffees, cooled off at an old-fashioned soda shop, and attended “beer school.”
Philadelphia-based David Michael & Co. announced that it is up to host its 12th Innovation Roadshow, which kicks off Sept. 20, at the Hilton at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia.
Limited-edition pack exclusively available at Sam’s Club

Jones Soda Co. released a Birthday Party-themed variety pack featuring its limited-edition Birthday Cake flavor. To celebrate Jones Soda’s 20th birthday, the limited-edition flavor was part of a year-long celebration, while the variety pack exclusively is available at Sam’s Club locations in select states, retailing for $9.98.
A new addition to Cracker Barrel Retail Stores, Monarch Beverage’s Kickapoo Joy Juice now is available in 635 Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores in 42 states.
As consumer demand continues to change, market research and analysts indicate that the U.S. market for carbonated soft drinks (CSDs) continues to struggle.
With summer in full swing, consumers are turning to liquid refreshment beverages to beat the heat. This season remains a popular time for beverage companies to release limited-edition options that offer a seasonal flair.
