Samuel Adams releases Winter Break Variety Pack
Samuel Adams released its Winter Break Variety Pack, which includes the new Cherry Chocolate Stout.
With a 6% ABV, Chocolate Cherry Stout is a fudge chocolate stout is topped with notes of cherry cordial and vanilla and balanced by roasted malt notes, the company says. Special ingredients include chocolate, cherry and vanilla.
Cherry is an increasingly popular flavor but underrepresented in beer, the company notes. The brewers at Sam Adams know a thing or two about cherry though, with the cherry portfolio up 17% year to date, it adds. So, now was the time for Sam Adams to launch a festive, cherry brew, the company shares.
In addition to the new varietal, Winter Break Variety Pack contains Winter White Ale, Winter Lager and Old Fezziwig.
With a 5.7% ABV, Winter White Ale balances bright orange peel with holiday spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. The Winter Lager features a 5.6% ABV and features a crisp bock with citrus and spices. With a 5.9% ABV Old Fezziwig, the spiced ale is a full body beer accompanied by a deep malt character, with notes of sweet toffee and rich, dark caramel, the company says.
