Mountain Dew introduces American Dew bottle

Mountain Dew is taking consumers back to where it all began. The brand launched An American Original – Tasting Great Since ’48, a new campaign honoring its Tennessee roots and the bold, unapologetic citrus taste that has defined Mountain Dew since 1948. From a regional Appalachian original drink to one of America’s most recognizable beverages, the campaign takes consumers back to the story that started it all.

“Since 1948, Mountain Dew has been defined by a bold, unapologetic taste born in Tennessee,” said Michael Smith, vice president of marketing for Mountain Dew at PepsiCo Beverages U.S., in a statement. “An American Original – Tasting Great Since ’48 is our tribute to where we started — and to the fans who’ve carried the brand forward for nearly 80 years. American Dew is a tangible celebration of that story, created to mark this moment in a meaningful way.”

To further honor its American legacy, Mountain Dew is introducing American Dew, a limited-edition wrapped can and bottle available nationwide throughout the summer.

This limited-edition offering renames the iconic American brand as a bold tribute to its Tennessee roots and the country’s 250th birthday.

The launch of American Dew also kicks off a nationwide celebration, giving fans a chance to win thousands of $250 cash prizes in honor of America's 250th anniversary. Now through July 11, consumers can visit www.americandew.com for more information and official program details.
