Alani Nu launches limited-edition Lime Slush

Just in time for spring, Alani Nu, a brand of Celsius Holding Inc., Boca Raton, Fla., unveiled Lime Slush, a limited-edition flavor joining its Slush line.

The new energy drink features a citrus-forward flavor delivering sweet, zesty lime with notes of smooth lemon cream, offering a refreshing take on the nostalgic lime slushie, the company says.

“Lime Slush is part of our high-impact LTO innovation approach — designed to create consumer excitement, recruit new consumers and keep the portfolio fresh,” said Kyle Watson, chief brand officer of Celsius Holdings Inc., in a statement. “It’s an exciting new addition to the Alani Nu Slush line arriving at the right seasonal moment.”

Eric Hanson, president and chief operating officer of Celius Holdings Inc., added that the new flavor gives retailers a timely seasonal reason to engage energy drink consumers. He noted that the company is focused on bringing the right assortment and placements to shelves, supported by disciplined merchandising, to help capture incremental spring occasions.

“As we bring innovations like Alani Nu Lime Slush to market, we’re focused on the items that deliver velocity, productivity and strong retail economics,” Hanson said.

Lime Slush is designed to help retailers keep the energy set productive by driving trial and repeat purchase, with a clear focus on shoppable placement and excellent in-store execution, the company notes. The brand says the launch will be supported by authentic, demand-driving marketing and retail-focused programming “intended to convert consumer excitement into purchase across key channels.”

Each 12-ounce can of Lime Slush contains 200 mg of caffeine, zero sugar, B vitamins and just 10 calories. Like all Alani Nu energy drinks, the beverage is vegan and gluten-free. It is rolling out nationally this month across a variety of retailers.

To celebrate the launch of Lime Slush, Alani Nu is debuting an “Alani Slush Stop.” The pop-up experience will take place at Las Olas Oceanside Park in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on March 12 and 13 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Alani Slush Stop is designed as a vibrant pit stop on the road to spring break, the company says. It is set to feature exclusive merchandise, interactive photo moments and samples of the full Alani Nu Slush collection, which includes Cherry Slush, Pink Slush and Blue Slush, it adds.
