Coca-Cola expands Cherry portfolio with new releases
Soft drink brand delivers creamy vanilla taste with Coca‑Cola Cherry Float release

Coca‑Cola, a brand of Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co. is celebrating four decades of cherry-flavored innovation with a major expansion of its Cherry portfolio, unveiling Coca‑Cola Cherry Float, Coca‑Cola Zero Sugar Cherry Float, and the nationwide release of Diet Coke Cherry.
These additions join the existing Coca‑Cola Cherry and Coca‑Cola Zero Sugar Cherry lineup and will begin rolling out to retailers across the U.S. and Canada in February.
Introduced in 1985 as Coca‑Cola’s first-ever flavored extension of the trademark brand, Cherry Coke established a legacy in the carbonated soft drink culture. In 2026, Coca‑Cola builds on that heritage by offering consumers more cherry-forward choices, reflecting growing demand for nostalgic flavors reimagined in modern ways, it says.
Leading the expansion is Coca‑Cola Cherry Float, a new flavor experience inspired by the classic soda fountain treat. Crafted to deliver the taste of a Cherry Coke float — without ice cream or dairy — the beverage blends Coca‑Cola Cherry with smooth, creamy vanilla notes for a familiar yet new profile. Coca‑Cola Cherry Float will be available in full sugar and zero sugar varieties in 12-ounce 12-pack cans and 20-ounce bottles.
The Cherry Float packaging introduces a refreshed visual expression for the brand, maintaining Coca‑Cola’s iconic red while incorporating cherry-inspired pink and purple gradients. A vintage Coca‑Cola float illustration anchors the design, while white script distinguishes full-sugar varieties, and black script differentiates zero-sugar formats.
Alongside the launch of Cherry Float, Coca‑Cola is bringing back Diet Coke Cherry nationwide. Long sought by loyal consumers, the beverage delivers the Diet Coke taste with a cherry twist — zero sugar, zero calories and now easier than ever to find. Diet Coke Cherry will roll out in 12-ounce 12-pack cans and 20-ounce bottles with updated packaging featuring standard Diet Coke branding complemented by cherry iconography. The limited retro packaging previously seen in select markets will not be part of the national release.
With these additions, Coca‑Cola’s full Cherry lineup now includes Coca‑Cola Cherry, Coca‑Cola Zero Sugar Cherry, Coca‑Cola Cherry Float, Coca‑Cola Zero Sugar Cherry Float, and Diet Coke Cherry — each offering a distinct expression of cherry flavor to meet a wide range of consumer preferences.
All products begin hitting shelves in February and will be available at most major retailers in the U.S. and Canada, as well as online at cocacola.com. Select offerings also will be accessible through Coca‑Cola Freestyle machines.
