Monster Energy brings Bad Apple to America
Latest Juice Monster addition arrives just in time for Halloween

Monster Energy, Corona, Calif., is bringing its hit European flavor Bad Apple stateside.
A fusion of energy and flavor that delivers a nostalgic punch of apples with a Monster kick, Bad Apple takes the classic taste of fresh Fuji apple and amps it up for a new generation of energy drink lovers, the company says. Smooth, crisp, and balanced — not too sweet, not too dry — Bad Apple is made with real sugar, featuring 160 mg of caffeine in each can, it notes.
“Juice Monster Bad Apple is all about that perfect mix of nostalgia and attitude,” said Dan McHugh, chief marketing officer for Monster Energy, in a statement. “It's a nod to classic juice flavor, but with the bold edge and high-energy performance only Monster can deliver. We wanted to bring something familiar yet unexpected in a flavor that feels timeless, but hits like a Monster.”
Already a hit overseas, Bad Apple became one of Monster’s top new product launches in the U.K. and across Europe, earning rave reviews and fueling millions of cases sold throughout the region in its first year, according to the company. Now, U.S. consumers can get their hands on the flavor that's been making waves abroad, it says.
The newest addition to the Juice Monster lineup, Bad Apple joins fan-favorite flavors like Mango Loco, Rio Punch, Viking Berry and Pacific Punch, bringing fresh variety to a growing segment of full-flavor energy fans.
Juice Monster Bad Apple is timed for fall, but will be around all year long, the company says. The new energy drink is available nationwide at convenience stores, grocery stores and mass merchandisers.
