Lipton unveils Lipton Fusions Lemonade Iced Tea, getaways to ‘summer’ towns

Sweepstakes offers a chance to win a trip to places where summer is literally in the name

Lipton Iced Tea, a brand of Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo, is ushering in the summer season early and celebrating a new addition to its lineup: Lipton Fusions, a lemonade iced tea infused with fruit flavors. 

Available in two varieties — Strawberry Lemonade and Pineapple Mango Lemonade — Lipton is giving consumers an opportunity to get a head start on the most anticipated time of the year with the launch of its newest product and by giving away escapes to places that double down on the feeling of summer, it says.

Across the country, there are a dozen towns where summer never ends — no matter the season — because it’s in their name. Places like Summer City, Md., Summertown, Tenn., and El Verano, Calif. — where it’s always sunny, at least on paper. To help consumers embrace the season, Lipton Iced Tea is giving away getaways to two summer-namesake towns and making the escape even sweeter by providing enough Lipton Fusions for the whole group to enjoy, the company says.

Through May 13, consumers can enter to win a getaway for themselves and up to three guests to their choice of Summerland, Calif., or Summerville, S.C. To enter, consumers can comment with the hashtag #LiptonSummerSweepstakes on the Lipton Iced Tea Facebook post, or by posting a photo with their favorite Lipton Iced Tea flavor to Instagram and/or TikTok tagging @LiptonIceTea along with the hashtag. Contestants also will need to follow Lipton Iced Tea on the channel they post their entry to.

 “Lipton Iced Tea has always been synonymous with the carefree joy of summer, and with the launch of Lipton Fusions, now everyone can enjoy that ‘Lipton Taste, Summer Feeling’ all year long,” said Zach Harris, vice president and general manager of Pepsi Lipton Partnership North America, in a statement. “We are excited for our fans to embrace these refreshing new flavors with the same enthusiasm they have for the season itself.”

Launching nationwide, the new Lipton Fusions Lemonade Iced Tea combines crisp lemonade with the goodness of Lipton Iced Tea and natural fruit flavors, with 50% less sugar than regular sodas, the company says. Lipton Fusions are available to purchase in 16-ounce cans nationwide, including online at Amazon and Walmart, among others.
