September 21, 2021

Tennis champion and entrepreneur Venus Williams in partnership with beverage innovator Dyla Brands, New York, announced the launch of her newest product under the Happy Viking umbrella: Happy Viking Superfood Complete Plant Nutrition.

Transitioning to a plant-based diet and focusing on healthy nutrition changed the future of Williams’ career after she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in 2011. Following Happy Viking’s inaugural launch of shakes in December 2020, Williams and the team wanted to extend the product line by going beyond the standard protein powder or meal replacement.  Williams and Happy Viking curated a formula to provide nutritional needs in an easy-to-use powder and with a taste that’s plant-based, and that consumers will love, the company notes.

“Since adopting a plant-based diet, I’ve seen the benefits for my body, my mind, and my performance firsthand,” Williams said in a statement. “Because of this, I’m so excited to give people access to a new plant-based product that provides optimal fuel, nutrition, and ingredients while still tasting amazing. I truly believe the better fuel we drink and eat, the better we perform and feel.”

Williams’ new comprehensive Happy Viking Superfood formula, which consists of a purposeful selection of ingredients: fruit and vegetable phytonutrients; complete plant-based proteins; MCT oil; DHA omega-3; 1 billion probiotics; prebiotic fiber; lean collagen and more, work synergistically with each other and provide exceptional nutrient density, according to the company.

Happy Viking Superfood Complete Plant Nutrition is available in four flavors: Triple Chocolate, Vanilla Bean, Strawberry Smoothie and Greeña Colada, and will be available direct-to-consumer nationwide at the company’s website www.drinkhappyviking.com and Amazon, retailing for $54 for a 15 meal canister. Ready-to-drink (RTD) 11-ounce single-serve shakes are available in Chocolate and Vanilla Bean and are available at Kroger, Meijer and DeCA grocery stores. All Happy Viking products are 100% plant-based, non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, and contain no artificial ingredients, soy, nor dairy.
