Charles Ross offers ‘super sanitary’ double planetary mixer, discharge system
High viscosity blades produce thick gels, pastes and semi-solids
Charles Ross & Son Co. offers a double planetary mixer and discharge system, model DPM/DS-4S, which is available in a “super sanitary” turnkey configuration that features a common stainless steel workbench for the mixer and a matching discharge system, the company says. The sanitary 4-gallon mixer and discharge system features type 316 interior and exterior stainless steel surfaces, with a 150-grit finish and electropolishing. The jacketed mixing vessel and special high-viscosity blades are a dynamic combination for producing thick gels, pastes, putties and other semi-solids under precise temperatures. The sealed gearbox and stirrer shafts ensure complete cleanability and eliminate cross-contamination between batches. This system is scalable through 1,000-gallon production models, according to the company.
