To honor works of art, beverage brands are releasing packaging that pays tribute to the artists. Conceived to communicate Licor 43’s Spanish provenance by paying tribute to the creativity and craftsmanship of Spanish artists, the Licor 43 Made of Spain Art Edition series began last year with a design inspired by the trencadis mosaic technique made famous by Gaudi in Barcelona, the company says. The 2019 edition travels to the middle of Madrid, to the Los Austrias quarter in the center of the old town. “We created the Made of Spain series to celebrate the Spanish heritage and sociability that is at the heart of our product,” said Julian Fernandez Estevez, global marketing director of spirits at Zamora Co., in a statement. “This design captures the neoclassical style found in the famous, centuries-old tavernas of our capital which have witnessed the meetings of artists, kings and locals throughout history. The new design, encapsulating Spanish identity through art, not only gives our customers a way of increasing visibility for Licor 43 in a retail environment, it also offers Licor 43 lovers a limited-edition, eye-catching, collectable version of their favorite liqueur which is perfect for gifting.” The Made of Spain Art Edition now is available in domestic retail markets for a suggested retail price of $22.50.
