Surf City Still Works launched Pierside Bourbon, a bourbon whiskey that pays homage to the surfers and oilfield roughnecks of Huntington Beach, Calif., the company says. Each hand-bottled batch of Pierside Bourbon is distilled to be smooth, with a hint of sweet corn and a little bit of spice derived from rye grains, it adds. The bourbon whiskey is 75 percent corn, 21 percent rye and 4 percent barely, and features a 45.5 percent alcohol by volume content. The 750-ml glass bottles are available in select markets for a suggested retail price of $35.
