Baltimore Whiskey Co. released its first line of whiskey, Epoch Rye. The rye whiskey will be the first of its kind to be distilled in Baltimore in 75 years, according to the company. Distillation of Epoch Rye began in 2015 and has since been curing in American oak barrels. This 100-proof spirit is made from a ratio of approximately 70 percent rye grain to 30 percent rye malt, along with a balance of classic whiskey ingredients. Epoch Rye will be available in stores and establishments around the Baltimore area, as well as throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
