In honor of its10th anniversary as the Official Bourbon of the Kentucky Derby, Woodford Reserve, a brand of Louisville, Ky.-based Brown-Forman Corp., launched its first online charity voting initiative to determine which organization will receive the net proceeds from this year’s $1,000 Mint Julep Cup sales.

To help make the determination, the bourbon brand is inviting consumers to cast their votes.  From now through midnight on March 30, consumers of legal drinking age can cast their vote as many times as they would like for either the Wounded Warrior Equestrian Program or the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund by visiting www.woodfordreservemintjulep.com/charityvote. The charity that receives the most votes will be announced at the 2015 Woodford Reserve $1,000 Mint Julep Cup press conference on April 13 at Churchill Downs in Louisville. A nominal donation will be awarded to the remaining organization.

Woodford Reserve has raised more than $410,000 for equine and humanitarian causes from the $1,000 Mint Julep Cups sales to date. The brand says it is eager to celebrate 10 years of its $1,000 Mint Julep Program by involving its fans and general consumers in identifying this year’s charity partner.
