Sauza adds Watermelon to Sparkling Margarita line
Ready-to-drink cocktail combines melon flavor, effervescent bubbles
Timed with the start of the summer season and warmer weather, Deerfield, Ill.-based Beam Suntory Inc.’s Sauza brand added a new Watermelon flavor to its lineup of ready-to-drink Sparkling Margaritas, which made their debut last spring.
Sauza Sparkling Margarita Watermelon combines a melon flavor with effervescent bubbles to add a fun twist to a classic Margarita, according to the brand. It also features the scent of effervescent, sweet and tart watermelon and lime with a lingering, sweet lime finish, it says.
Sauza Sparkling Margarita Watermelon joins Original Lime, Wild Berry and Mango Peach flavors, which all use Sauza Silver Tequila as a base and add Triple Sec, effervescence and fruit flavors, according to the brand. A 750-ml bottle of the nearly 20-proof Watermelon flavor retails for approximately $12.99.
