The Skinnygirl brand has entered another new beverage segment with the announcement of its new, low-calorie Skinnygirl Water Enhancers. Slated to launch nationwide in March, the drink mixes will be available in Blueberry Acai, Fuji Apple, Pineapple Coconut and White Cherry flavors. A 1.62-ounce bottle will contain approximately 24 servings, each of which contains 5 calories because of a proprietary blend of natural stevia leaf extract and cane sugar, the brand says.
"I wanted to give women a delicious alternative to just plain water and typical sodas,” said Bethenny Frankel, creator of the Skinnygirl brand, in a statement. “My new Skinnygirl Water Enhancers are light, refreshing, and allow you to flavor to your liking."
Carmel, Ind.-based Heartland Food Products Group, in partnership with Skinnygirl, will manufacture and distribute the products across North America next month.
Ted Gelov, chief executive officer of Heartland, said: "Skinnygirl Water Enhancers are a natural fit for us. As a pioneer in both innovative water enhancer flavors and low-calorie sweeteners, we share Bethenny's commitment to balanced living. We are excited to be introducing the first water enhancer products that combine exciting flavor combinations and natural sweeteners for a new kind of low-calorie beverage."
