Moët Hennessy USA, the wine and spirits division of Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH), added a new whisky to Glenmorangie’s Private Edition line. Glenmorangie Artein is a blend of 15-year-old and 21-year-old Glenmorangie whisky that has been extra matured in “Super Tuscan” ex-wine casks. Artein, which is Scots Gaelic for “stone,” makes use of the Tarlogie Spring in Scotland, which filters through layers of limestone adding rich minerals that give the whisky complex fruity aromas, the company says. Glenmorangie Artein has a sweet and heady aroma of red berries, honeysuckle and fresh mint, and features baked fruit flavors such as apricots, peaches and plums with hints of spearmint and cherries in milk chocolate, it adds. Bottled at 46 percent alcohol by volume, Glenmorangie Artein finishes with notes of  lemon sherbet and cappuccino, it says. Suggested retail price for a 750-ml. bottle is $79.99.
