Beam Suntory Inc.’s Jim Beam brand launched its latest flavored whiskey — Jim Beam Apple.

Constellation Brands Inc., Victor, N.Y., announced an agreement to acquire San Diego-based Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits. One of the fastest growing craft beer companies in the United States, Ballast Point beer portfolio contains more than 40 different varieties, including its Sculpin IPA and Grapefruit Sculpin IPA, the company says. The partnership with Ballast Point will enable Constellation Brands to compete in the craft beer segment, further strengthening its position in the highest end of the U.S. beer market, it adds.

This fall, Clyde May’s is launching a Special Reserve whiskey, the first line extension in the brand’s history, which will be available for sale in limited quantity. 

Viejo Indecente released Mezcal Viejo Indecente in the U.S. market. 

Proximo Spirits is offering British gin brand Boodles’ Mulberry Gin in the United States for a limited time.

New York-based Charmer Sunbelt Group and Wirtz Beverage Group, Chicago, two family-run distributors of wine, spirits and beer, announced on Oct. 20 that the companies signed an agreement to substantially combine all of their beverage alcohol operations.
