Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits’ Josh Cellars brand added a new varietal to its portfolio: Lodi Zinfandel. 

Although every brand has its own story to tell, the history, entrepreneurial spirit and pioneering craft approach of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, a brand of Austin, Texas-based Fifth Generation Inc., has made it the third fastest growing brand in the country.

Within the wine and spirits categories, dark spirits and sparkling wines are leading growth, according to analysts.

Nashville-based Bonnie Rose, a new Tennessee white corn whiskey with a southern vibe, launched two new, natural flavors: Orange Peel and Spiced Apple, both with a suggested retail price of $18.99. Inspired by the legend of Bonnie Rose, the new brand makes its premiere in her favorite city, Nashville, and rolls out nationally immediately following, the company says.

Bacardi Ltd., Hamilton, Bermuda, has expanded its portfolio of super-premium rums with the acquisition of Banks rum.

Constellation Brands Inc., Victor, N.Y., announced that it has agreed to acquire the Meiomi wine brand from Copper Cane LLC, a Joseph Wagner controlled company. The transaction is expected to close by the beginning of August, the companies say.

Atotonilco, Mexico-based Patrón Spirits is introducing a new addition to its Patrón Citrónge liqueur portfolio. Patrón Citrónge Mango is crafted from the highest-quality Ataulfo mangos from the Mexican states of Nayarit and Chiapas, the company says.
