Traveling beer festival aims to be the largest craft beer celebration in history

Chico, Calif.-based Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. has invited every one of the more than 2,700 craft breweries across the country to participate in a multi-weekend traveling beer festival this summer. Beer Camp Across America is a celebration for the entire craft beer community, aiming to bring together brewers and their fans, the company says.
Eugene, Ore., facility includes sustainable equipment, hop filter

After three years of planning, Ninkasi Brewing Co. opened its expanded Eugene, Ore., brewery and brewed its first batch of beer in the facility in late March. The brewery worked with ecoReal Solutions, Portland, Ore., to add numerous sustainability features to the brewery, setting it on the path to reach Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, the company says.

Craft brewer 21st Amendment Brewery, San Francisco, appointed Dave Wilson as the company’s new partner and president. Wilson, who has been with the craft beer company since 2008, began as its national sales and marketing director when 21st Amendment first launched its canned craft beer in the market.
Portfolio of specialty products to bolster distributor’s craft beer and spirit offerings

In a new agreement, Ashland, Ore.-based Rogue Ales & Spirits and Missouri Beverage (MoBev), St. Louis, will join forces to distribute the craft beer and spirits manufacturer’s products statewide. Although Rogue is not new to the Missouri market, the partnership provides further opportunities to build the company’s craft beer and spirit brands, it says.
Volume and sales reach record levels as market share surpasses 7 percent

The Brewers Association (BA), Boulder, Colo., released 2013 data about U.S. craft beer industry. Craft beer rose 18 percent in volume sales, representing a total of 15.6 million barrels, and increased 20 percent in retail dollar value, making the segment the primary growth driver in the beer industry, according to the BA.
This month, Founders Brewing Co. began shipping 15-pack cans of All Day IPA. These packs are replacing the former 12-pack cans but retail for the same price as the smaller packs, the company says.
