Keychain establishes European footprint
Platform expands to Ireland, appoints European general manager

New York-based Keychain, the artificial intelligence (AI)-powered manufacturing platform for the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry announced its expansion into Ireland with a new office in Dublin. Keychain tapped Alan Metcalfe to lead the European team and drive global operations forward as the general manager.
The announcement comes off the heels of Keychain’s $30 million Series B funding round and reflects the company’s commitment to supporting global CPG brands and manufacturers in building faster, smarter and more resilient supply chains, it says.
“Establishing a presence in Ireland is an important step for Keychain as we continue to scale internationally,” said Oisin Hanrahan, CEO and founder of Keychain, in a statement. “Alan Metcalfe is a seasoned entrepreneur who brings valuable expertise in business strategies, brand development and scaling companies globally. We’re thrilled to have him on board as we expand across Europe.”
With this recent funding and launch of AI-native product KeychainOS, the company will help local manufacturers reduce bottlenecks and manage their production cycles more efficiently, it adds. Metcalfe will play a key role in supporting Keychain’s operations in Ireland and ensure seamless integration of its AI-powered manufacturing platform within the market.
Since its launch in February 2024, Keychain has raised $68 million in venture capital and is used by eight of the Top 10 retailers, and 7-Eleven and Whole Foods, along with seven of the top 10 CPG brands, including General Mills, it says. With the opening of its Irish office, the company will serve European markets directly and help both brands and manufacturers bring products to market more quickly.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Keychain at such a pivotal time,” Metcalfe said in a statement. “I’m inspired by the company’s mission to transform the CPG supply chain with AI, and I look forward to building strong partnerships in Ireland and beyond.”
The platform already supports leading clients such as Rich’s Foods, General Mills, The Hershey Co. and Schreiber Foods, all of which are investors as well, Keychain adds. With operations around the globe, the expansion will further strengthen the company’s supply chain impact for multinational companies. Keychain’s Dublin office will serve as a hub for Irish operations, with plans to expand the team in the coming months, it notes.
