Shaq teams up with Beatbox Beverages
Basketball icon and entrepreneur invests in company, launches exclusive flavor

Basketball icon, entrepreneur and entertainer Shaquille O’Neal has teamed up with BeatBox Beverages, Austin, Texas, as an investor. The partnership also includes the launch of the newest BeatBox flavor: Blueberry Lemonade.
The new flavor combines blueberry and lemonade in a flavor mashup so big, it could only be inspired by O’Neal, the company says. The beverage comes in at 11.1% alcohol-by-volume (ABV), delivering “big, full-court flavor and unforgettable fun.” It is low in sugar, gluten-free and features resealable, sustainable packaging.
O’Neal also is known for touring the world as DJ Diesel. While on tour, he first encountered the ready-to-drink (RTD) beverage and found a connection to the brand’s deep passion for live music, community of super fans and dedication to making the world more fun, the company adds. Because O’Neal’s brand centers around fun, he decided to invest in BeatBox and create an exclusive flavor with the company.

The packaging brings the energy of O’Neal’s personality to life, with playful doodles of lemons, lightning bolts, blueberries and a DJ turntable are featured throughout the design.

BeatBox Blueberry Lemonade will be available nationwide at select retailers and grocers. It will be sold in a single 500-ml size, as well as in the new lemonade variety pack with two other new flavors in the Lemonade line, Watermelon Lemonade and Lemon Squeeze.
