Tequila Don Julio, a brand of Diageo North America, introduced Tequila Don Julio Ultima Reserva, a special 36-month aged luxury Extra-Anejo that gives tribute to Founder Don Julio Gonzalez’s ultimate legacy: the final agave harvest planted by Gonzalez and his family in 2006. Tequila Don Julio Ultima Reserva is golden in color with notes of toasted oak and caramel, followed by hints of apricot and orange, and finishes with honey agave, the company says. Only 4,000 cases of Tequila Don Julio Ultima Reserva will be released this year, and limited quantities of this luxury tequila will continue to be released each year until it reaches the end of this final agave harvest, according to the company. Each 750-ml bottle has 40% AVB, and the first batch of Tequila Don Julio Ultima Reserva will be available in select markets, with a suggested retail price of $399.
