BODYARMOR, a brand BA Sports Nutrition, Queens, N.Y., announced a partnership with Atlanta Hawks All-Star Trae Young as the brand’s newest athlete partner.

As part of the new partnership, Young will be featured in a variety of upcoming brand activations and social content. The basketball star also will appear in in-store and external advertising campaigns and help generate awareness for the brand in Atlanta and across the country.

Young joins the Team BODYARMOR roster, which includes James Harden, Megan Rapinoe, Mike Trout, Naomi Osaka, Donovan Mitchell and more.

Young joins the team at an exciting time in the brand’s history as today’s star athletes look for premium, better-for-you hydration choices. In August 2018, The Coca-Cola Co. acquired a minority ownership stake in BODYARMOR Sports Drink, making it the second largest shareholder in the company, and enabling BODYARMOR to accelerate its growth and challenge the market leaders within the category.

This past year, BODYARMOR was announced as the Official Sports Drink of Major League Soccer, beginning in 2020.
